This book expands on the Little Business firm books - calculation more historical perspective, floor plans of the homes, etc. It also includes recipes and crafts to do.

That plus the inclusion of crafts and recipes and extension activities really but made me happy.
For any reader who loves the book series or even the tv series, this one is a fun and easy-going read.
My thoughts: While I didn't learn anything "new" nearly Laura Ingalls Wilder, I found information technology a fun, delightful presentation of what I already knew. The simply volume that truly was packed with I-didn't-know that information was the recently released PIONEER GIRL. This biography shares an intended audience range of the actual books. So one could go from the serial to this biography smoothly. (I can't imagine a 4th or 5th grader picking up PIONEER Daughter and finishing it. Pioneer Girl just has Then MANY footnotes.)
Like shooting fish in a barrel to recommend this one!

This is neat for kids or for parents who want to use the volume every bit an overview to introduce the series to their kids.
